Valencia Airport, in accordance with its passenger service commitments and, specifically, for disabled users, constantly carries out actions that improve accessibility to its facilities and designed all of its projects taking into account the needs of this group of people.
The main actions include:
Signs on windows with red or green circles. Differentiation of the pavement on sidewalk surfaces near pedestrian crossings. Public lifts in the terminal with PA systems indicating the floor and numbering in braille. Installation of two new lifts, one in the passenger terminal and another in the technical block, to facilitate access for disabled users. Construction of access ramps. Parking spaces for disabled people, with horizontal and vertical signs, one for every 50 spaces or fraction. Installation of a public information desk especially designed for disabled people. Relocation of the information desk and of the access stairs to the services floor to more visible locations. Mobile information supports that provide continuity at the bottom, making them easier to detect for blind users. Sinks for disabled people in all WCs.
