Rules for use
In order to avoid unpleasant situations, we kindly ask you to pay attention to the significance of the indicators located within the airport perimeter, to all displayed information as well as to the indications of the guarding agents.
If necessary, do not hesitate to require the assistance of the parking dispatch staff by accessing the intercom installed at any of the access barriers!
Do not enter the parking lot without the ticket issued when opening the barrier!
In case the ticket has not been issued, immediately announce the parking dispatch employee!
Keep the parking ticket in order to make the payment: the exit barrier can be accessed only with the paid parking ticket!
Attention! Overtax for:
- the abusive use of the marked places reserved for the cars belongign to passengers with reduced mobility: 200.000 ROL/20 RON;

When entering the parking lot, the driver is being automatically issued a magnetic ticket when the barrier is opened.
Pay for the parking before getting into your car! You can pay at the two cash desks located at the top level of the parking lot and one cash desk at the ground floor (Parking Dispatch).
In addition to the time interval you have paid for, you benefit of 15 extra minutes necessary for you to get to your car and leave the parking lot.
There are two exit barriers at the top level and two exit barriers at the ground floor.
The exit barriers are opened automatically after you have inserted the paid magnetic ticket into the barrier reader.
INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURES PUBLIC PARKING LOT
When entering the parking lot, the driver is being automatically issued a magnetic ticket when the barrier is opened.
You will pay for the period of using the parking lot from your car, at the cash desk situated at the parking exit.
The passageway (the first floor of the International Arrivals Terminal) offers the passengers a fast connection between the Domestic Arrivals flow and the International Departures flow.

VAT RESTITUTION
VAT restitution activity has been implemented within BHCIA since 09.11.2005. Physical persons not settled in Romania, do have the possibility to get, the moment they leave the country, the corresponding VAT for the goods that had been bought only from authorized en detail shops (where TAX FREE sign is posted). Goods value, VAT included, must be over 250 RON. According to the legal settlement in force, these goods mustn't be part of the category of goods forbidden or restricted to be taken out of country. Sending or transporting them out of Romania must be done within three months interval from the acquisition. When leaving the country, the foreign passenger who bought goods from Romania, must show to the customs authorities the following:

- the original invoice
- the document that proves the payment for goods value and its original
- VAT restitution document (in original)

The passengers with reduced mobility enjoy a special attention within the airport, proved by the services and facilities which are offered to them.
The category of persons with reduced mobility includes any person whose mobility is reduced due to a physical incapacity (sensorial or locomotive), to a psychical deficiency, to age, illness or other cause (persons who are using a wheelchair, persons with sight problems, very old persons, very tall or very fat persons).
Before starting the travel
In order to travel by air, request special assistance when you reserve your ticket. The agent responsible for boarding will be announced in advance about the type of assistance needed whereas you will be helped by a qualified person.
Parking
There are places especially designated for passengers with reduced mobility in the airport parking lots. The access from the parking to the International Departures Terminal is facilitated by an access ramp (follow the indicator). The public parking lot corresponding to the International Arrivals and Domestic Flights Terminal is fitted with elevators.
Inside the terminal
The access doors of the terminals are automatic.
Access to the different levels of the terminals for the passengers who are using wheelhairs is facilitated by wide elevators fitted with a command panel installed at an adequate height. The areas which can not be accessed using the elevators are provided with mobile platforms (please request assistance to the handling agent or to the staff of the airline you are flying).
In all the airport areas there are toilets especially designed in order to be used by the persons who are using wheelchairs (see the map).
The public phones are installed at an adequate height and can be found in all the terminals' areas.

Henri Coanda International Airport opened for the air traffic the new components of the airport movement area: "Oscar" and "Victor" taxiways. By finalizing these objectives, that are part of "A.I.B.O. Development and Modernization" investment program - Phase II and II Extended -, the capacity of no. 2 runway increased with 30%.
The opening of the connection between the International Departures and the International Arrivals/Domestic Flights Terminals
On the 04th of October 2006, Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport inaugurated the connection between the International Departures and the International Arrivals/Domestic Flights Terminals.
With a total surface of 2,978 square meters, from which 1,329 square meters represent commercial spaces, the first floor of the building offers the passengers a fast connection between the Domestic Arrivals flow and the International Departures flow, making it, in the same time, an attractive commercial area for spending, in a pleasant atmosphere, the spare time before embarking or between two flights.
The commercial spaces will be rented following the tender procedure, their destination being that of restaurant, café-bar, banks, exchange offices, rent-a-car, newspapers, pharmacy and retail.
