Although numerous taxis link QAIA with Amman and other places near and far, airport access was given a big coach service in February 1997. Linking QAIA with Amman’s Abdali city center terminal every half-hour-limited 06.00 and 23.00, and every hour-limited the night, the totally dedicated, limited stop and already highly-successful service is the result of a new joint venture aimed at improving airport access. Two well-known organizations are behind this initiative, the General Transport Corporation and the Jordan Investment and General Consulting Company. Business is increasing monthly, more and more people, particularly RJ and airport staff, students and tourists are traveling with us. Business people are starting to hear about our service too. They’re trying it out, liking it and becoming regular customers.” The maintain selling points of the Airport Express are competitive fares (JD1 or US$1.40 single), short journey times (around 45 minutes, depending on traffic), and high frequencies (which keep maximum waiting times during the day down to 30 minutes). To maintain such an intensive frequency, the Airport Express is operated using five newly-acquired air-conditioned Mitsubishi coaches and employs 11drivers working in three shifts – additional staff sell and check tickets. We’re delighted with the way the Airport Express has developed , so much that we’re bringing forward our plans to introduce a new, high-frequency Hotel Shuttle to link Amman’s major hotels with QAIA and, of course, vice versa.

In the landside areas there is a range of retail outlets which includes CTN, souvenirs, bookshops, and specialist Arabic pastry offers.

Apha operates four of their branded World News Cafes, one in each terminal both landside and airside, in addition there are outlets operated by Pizza Hut and Popeyes, Cinnebon, Blue Fig and StarBox.
Banking Services:
Banks, currency exchange and ATMs facilities are available both landside and airside in both terminals.
Baggage storage facilities and lost and found:
operated by Royal Jordanian (RJ).
Lounges:
Airport lounges in both terminals available for VIPs only and RJ operate lounges in both terminals these are open to all business and first class passengers as well frequent flyers according to the individual airline regulations.
Medical Facilities:
there is a 7/24 medical centre available for all airport users.
Jordan Post:
Jordan Post is a government owned company that is responsible for providing universal mail services in Jordan. In coordination with Royal Jordanian airlines they send and receive all Air mail pouches to and from Jordan through Queen Alia International Airport .
Additionally they provide full mail services through a dedicated post office in the south terminal . This office is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm and provides a vast array of services to all airport users. This includes dispatch of letters and packages . payment of utility bills and rental of post boxes among others.
