From Cairo city centre, the airport can be reached across the 6th October Bridge via Salah Salem Road, which leads to Heliopolis. The airport and Heliopolis are well signposted from the city centre. The airport is located just off the Al-Orouba main road.+

Taxi Services:
At Cairo International Airport taxis are available at any time, and operated on a flat fee basis. Official Cairo taxis are predominantly black and white, but Alexandria taxis are black and orange. There are also 7-seated Peugeot taxis varied in color and size, but they all have an emblem and number painted on the driver's door.
Note: Fees are the same as the limousine service.

Terminal Building 1's new International Arrival Hall 3 opened & receiving flights
Hall 3, previously used for Domestic flights & seasonal flights such as the HAJ, has been demolished and reconstructed, using State-of-the-Art designs & technology, the hall's covers an area of 12,450 sqm, & is designed to conform with the renovations held at Terminal Bldg 1.The Hall is assigned to serve International flights,whereby an addition of 6 new conveyor belts will assure a smoother flow,a connection via a skyway between the Hall & the new Air Mall is an integral part of the design.
